Natalie Perez is a Los Angeles-based vocalist. Performing classical, experimental, contemporary, and world music, her eclectic aesthetic leads her to be a multi dimensional performer. For the past three years, she has been studying the voice at the California Institute of the Arts, focusing on performance in African and classical music along with voice acting and music for film. Recently, Natalie performed in the CalArts experimental Opera, Dada Divas Presents: Rubbish, as well as originating a role in a brand new original musical theatre production, The Many Delays of Charlie Greene by Diana Cioffari. Natalie completed her mid-residency recital in April, where she performed a wide range of music by composers John Cage, Robert Schumann, Osvaldo Golijov, Franz Schubert, and others. Throughout her CalArts career, Natalie is focusing her studies on female composers and vocalists throughout history and is immersing herself in world music and cultures. Upcoming projects include collaborating with several composers, for song cycles, live action and animated film scores, and more.
